If Biscuits & Gravy Are Wrong, We Don't Want To Be Right

This weekend, try something new.

Make breakfast to order for you and your fam. This quick and easy recipe for classic sausage gravy makes great use of fridge staples and yields delicious comforting results, paired with fluffy biscuits (either homemade or not, we’re not looking) and some fresh coffee.

Here’s how we did it.

Ingredients:
-1 lb. ground breakfast sausage

-1/4 cup AP flour

-2 cups whole milk

-salt & pepper to taste

-a pinch of cayenee

Method:

  1. Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium high heat until browned on both sides. Add half your flour and stir until sausage is fully covered.

  2. Reduce heat to medium low, add the rest of your flour and stir in milk slowly. Add more milk to achieve desired thickness.

  3. Season with salt and lots of fresh black pepper, and that final pinch of cayenne.

  4. Serve over fresh biscuits, immediately.
