I’ve been baking a lot.

For those of you who know me, this may come as a surprise. I’m not a baker.

But since the beau and I have been trying our hand at Dry January, both our sugar intake and our focus right around happy hour needed to be reset. Baking has been a really fun experiment in the kitchen, one that takes time and requires you to wait for results. When results come, they’re usually something delicious, like these scones! I used cranberries because I had them in my fridge, but this recipe can be adapted with almost any berry or fruit. Find a recipe online from a real expert. I’m just here to talk about why scones are great. They’re breakfast and dessert. They can be made sweet or savory. They’re usually triangles.
