The Brisket Recipe That Isn't A Recipe

If you want that barbecue, smoky flavor but don't have the time (or space) for a professional smoker (who does?), this not-a-recipe life hack to beefy briskety flavor will be your go-to anytime you're looking to impress your guests with maximum comfort food.

Ingredients:

-3-5lb. brisket.

-1 package Knorr's or Lipton French Onion Soup Mix

-1 can Ocean Spray Cranberry Jelly

-S&P to taste

Method:

-In a large Ziploc bag, marinade brisket in onion mix and jelly for at least 5 hours but no longer than 24 hours.

-Fast forward...preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

-Place brisket in a large dutch oven or heavy bottom pot, fat side UP! Fill pot with water so brisket is covered halfway. Cover pot with tin foil. Place in oven.

-Bake for approx 3-4 hours, checking regularly. Remove from oven. Set aside and let come to room temp.

-Slice against the grain at room temp. Simmer over low heat, adding water for additional moisture, as well as S&P to taste. Beef will begin to melt apart after approx. 1 hour. It should look like the picture here.

Keep simmering on lowest setting until ready to serve.

-Enjoy.
